相对分子量不确定但通常较高，常温下呈固态、中固态、假固态，有时也可以是液态的有机物质。具有软化或熔融温度范围，在外力作用下有流动倾向，破裂时常呈贝壳状。广义上是指用作塑料基材的聚合物或预聚物。一般不溶于水，能溶于有机溶剂。按来源可分为天然树脂和合成树脂；按其加工行为不同的特点又有热塑性树脂和热固性树脂之分。
Relative molecular weight is uncertain but usually high. It is solid, medium-solid, pseudo-solid, and sometimes liquid organic matter at room temperature. It has a range of softening or melting temperatures, tends to flow under external forces, and often breaks in a shell shape. Generally speaking, it refers to polymers or prepolymers used as plastic substrates. Generally insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents. It can be divided into natural resins and synthetic resins according to their sources, and thermoplastic resins and thermosetting resins according to their different processing characteristics.

DOWEX resin is an indivisible and uniform mixed bed resin. Low ppb levels of silicon, boron, sodium, potassium, sulfate, chloride, zinc, iron and aluminium ions were achieved in a non-renewable mixing bed during ultra-pure water polishing. This kind of non-renewable mixing bed can be used for 2-3 years before replacement. UPW grade resin has high ion conversion rate (95% minimum), excellent conductivity and TOC cleaning characteristics and super compressive strength. Because it is a mixture of 360 micron positive resin with homogeneous particles and 590 micron negative resin, it maintains high dynamic performance and high operating exchange capacity.
